…developing manpower for the global Church!
NIFTI is the Training arm of our ministry set up to develop the capacities of students, youths, Church workers, Leaders, youth workers and all believers who want to grow in their relationship with God and build capacity for gospel engagement in the campus, Church and market place. Our desire is to develop manpower for the global Church.
Our Story: As a movement we have always had the culture of training, it is one of our major distinctive. Over the year we use to hold annual Summer Institute which was then called NIFES Summer Institute. This used to hold as an in house training of our staff and key student leaders but it has always been our dream to turn it a full-fledged training institute to cater to broader range of needs. This by the grace of God we were able to commence in 2011.We have so far trained over 400 students on Expository Bible Preaching under the NIFES Expository Bible Training Course working in Partnership with Cornhill Training Course since 2008. We have had seasoned Bible Trainers as Faculty since the inception of the NIFES EBTC among which are: Christopher Ash of Proclamation Trust; Alan Purser of Cross Link; Rt Rev Emmanuel Egbunu, Arc Bishop of Lokoja Province and Bishop of Lokoja Diocese, Dr Abbas Sodangi of University of Maiduguri, Gideon Para-Mallam of IFES-EPSA, Prof AbenTersur of Theological College of Northern, Nigeria and several others.
We presently have three schools in NIFTI

Vision: Our Desire
NIFES Missions Conference- Witness 2013 is aimed at sensitizing, inspiring, challenging and empowering the participants to stake their lives and employ their gifts, talents and skills in the task of living as ambassadors. The goal is to challenge participants to see the reality and fully embrace the dignity and responsibility of being and living as official representative of King Jesus, His envoy, messengers, ‘errand servants’ apostles, designed and appointed to declare the gospel through verbal and lifestyle demonstration as salt and light to the nations anytime, anywhere and under any condition. We hope by this conference to raise thousands of missionaries candidates to the nations and the market place, a pool of consecrated manpower for the evangelization of the un-reached people of our world.
The Witness Conference began in 2001 under the leadership of Revd. Gideon Para-Mallam who was then the National Director with the Theme: Winning the Nations with over… participants in attendance.

- The Big Blast
You are God’s appeal to the nations and the market place?
So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 2 Cor 5:20-21 NLT
Witness will provide you with a great opportunity to be God’s appeal to the nations of the world and the market place beginning from where you are. Who you are or where you are doesn’t matter. God is waiting to make you His appeal at the conference.
What is Witness?
How have you been made? What gifts do you have? Where does your deep passion connect with the world’s deep hunger? What keeps you from responding to God’s invitation? Do you want your life to Count for God in your generation?
Witness seeks to compel this generation of students and youths to give their whole lives to God’s global mission. Together with other students listening for God’s call on their lives, participants are challenged by speakers, are able to speak with, missionaries, missions’ organizations, get to attend an amazing selection of seminars, participate in unique tracks, worship together and receive prayer and study the Bible inductively.
Dare to be part of these ambassadors that will turn the world upside down beginning from the campus to the markets place and the nations of the world.
Since the inception of NIFES Triennial National missions Conference tagged Witness in 2001, it has impacted over 15000 people to devote their lives to God’s work around the globe.
Witness is to call this generation of students and young people to give and live their lives as Ambassadors of King Jesus among the nations of the world.
…building tomorrow’s leaders today!
The Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES) is an indigenous, non-governmental and interdenominational organization of evangelical Christian students in Nigeria tertiary institutions. We reach out to students through small group Bible Studies, Evangelism, Prayers meetings, Large Group Meetings, Biblical Discipleship, Life-changing Leadership Training and Conference. In them is the great reservoir that contains the answers to this world’s unanswered questions and solutions to the world’s problems.
In every student that steps into the campus is a potential to be great and useful to God’s kingdom and humanity. They are arrows that could be targeted to nab all the challenges of our day and make it the kingdom of our God.
Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, shape a student and you would have shaped the future.

Get Involved Now
Witness usually hold in the month of November every three years, but you can get involved now. You can make Witness happen by donating to NIFES Missions Conference or giving to sponsor a student. The Conference provides you with a platform to practice the three ‘Gs’ of missions: Groan, Give or Go
Groan in Prayer
How You Can Pray Now
- Pray for all the team preparing the conference for you: LOC, the speakers, worship team, seminar leaders, exhibitors and those organizing the whole thing. Even pray for the prayer partners that have been and will pray for you at the conference!
- Pray for yourself, asking God to prepare your heart, soul, and mind to hear and respond to him. Pray to be prepared for him to disrupt your world.
- Ask three people who love you to commit to pray for you every day during Witness. Ask them to pray for all the details to run smoothly (travel, roommates, health, food, etc.) so you can concentrate on the bigger issues, like how to change the world.
- Gather some friends on campus and have a weekly or every-other-week prayer meeting for Witness
- Set a notification on your phone every day to pray for God to prepare you for Witness.
- Follow Witness on Facebook and Twitter and use these updates to guide your prayers.
Give to Witness
Witness participants will experience multicultural worship, dynamic speakers, in-depth Bible study and prayer. They will take time to explore short-term and vocational missions opportunities as they interact with representatives from hundreds of educational institutions and missions agencies.
Help more students be able to afford Witness. Your generosity could provide a life-changing moment for a delegate who otherwise would not be able to come to the Conference.
Go as a Volunteer
Witness is an opportunity for you to serve God by serving the brethren through volunteer services. Volunteers give of their time and energy to extend hospitality to conference participants and to provide various and necessary services to make Witness run smoothly and serve participants well.
The Volunteers at Witness will be grouped into two categories:
- Daily Servants and
All volunteers will be expected to pay for their transportation and other necessary cost during the conference.
We encourage all students who would like to experience Witness to come as participants, rather than volunteers. There are ways for students to contribute to the work of Witness by serving as ushers etc. More information about these opportunities is provided through the staff in your zone.
There are two ways non-students can volunteer:
Daily Servants are non-student volunteers who serve for a portion of a day or a few complete days at the conference. Daily Servants will receive a one-day pass to attend the conference on a day that they are not volunteering. Like Stewards, Daily Servants are responsible for paying for accommodation, meals, travel, and other costs as necessary. Register here to be a Daily Servant for Witness
Stewards are non-student volunteers who work for the entire conference. Witness covers Stewards’ registration fees, but other costs such as d travel to Kwali are the responsibility of the Steward. Jobs for Stewards will be assigned closer to the conference. If/when Stewards are not working; they are free to experience and take part in the conference.
To register as a Steward, first log in or create an account. Once logged in, you’ll be returned to this page where you’ll have the option to register either as a Steward. If you’ve already registered for Witness and have questions about volunteering please contact Witness.
